Dr. Anagnostopoulos, Gastroenterologist – Hepatologist, graduated with distinction from the Medical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and he practices in his sector dynamically, continuing the research and the training in all the medical sectors of his interest.
In Greece so as abroad, he has participated in seminars around Endoscopy, as a speaker, demonstrating advanced techniques live, while he has also participated, simultaneously, in researches and medical articles that have been published to foreign magazines, which discuss therapeutic endoscopy.
He is the Scientific Director of the endoscopic department of the General Clinic of Maternity/ Gynecology “Mitera”, being also a member of the hospital’s scientific council. Last but not least, he maintains an easy-to-access personal medical practice at the center of Athens.
It might be common sense for the majority that a medical website shall follow the safe-lane (standar menu- long medical texts etc.) when it comes to development, but for us this is not the case. Each doctor contacts us, always looking for the best solution, considering their specialty and personality. Therefore, the project of Dr. K. Anagastopoulos was one of our biggest challenges!
The doctor already possessed an old website, with outdated technical characteristics and no fresh-content for a very long period of time. Its reconstruction in a modern & open source platform, was the initial and most crucial step, which would allow an orchestration of activities for an efficient and dynamic medical website.
The choice of the visuals should result in a mixture of fine esthetics with simplicity, search engine friendliness and functionality. Only this kind of outcome would provide to all website visitors the best browsing experience. In order to succeed with the aforementioned characteristics and speculations, one of the many actions taken, was to choose the right combination of colors that ooze with the seriousness and the minimal style that fits to a medical website.
The total reform of the website’s categories/ subcategories simplified the situation, as with a single search, the information around any disease or therapy was served to the user immediately. This condition automatically improves the user experience.
The last step, was to create unique medical texts that communicate clear and scientific approved info about each type of disease. The Copywriting department, in collaboration with the doctor, conducted content for selected diseases and therapies.
The creation of a medical & specialized website with strong technical foundation is now a fact. After testing procedures and multiple template configurations, we managed to communicate the style and quality the doctor was asking for from day one.
At the Homepage the user already has the ability to browse to all the main diseases/therapy techniques of the doctor’s specialty, via “smart” Scroll Effects, color alternation and targeted visual material.
On the Menu so as on the Footer (bottom of the page), the user can find useful links, which the doctor himself has chosen, and are related to the medical diseases directly.
The right choice of the template was a real helper to the adjustment of a minimal image, which provided the user with a variety of information, without disorienting them or presenting them with difficulties in finding each category.
Afterwards, all the necessary techniques were implemented so that the user could have the most optimized browsing experience, whatever type of device they use (responsive design).

- Visible menu on every single page the website visitor is.
- Construction of a special online form, optimized to generate appointments and contacts with the doctor. The form appears not only on the contact page, but also on all the categories/subcategories.
- Conduction of unique content for each category, which provides all the necessary information and increases the awareness and the trustworthiness of the doctor equally.
- Inclusion of a Right Sidebar Menu with the diseases and therapies on each category-subcategory.
- Inclusion of a special Blog category, which is enriched with articles by the doctor himself and follows up the updates of his specialty.
- Development of a 100% SEO Friendly platform, ranking amongst the first places of Google’s organic results.
